Altus Tasks
General
General task settings:

Disable Resource Assignment to Owning Group Synchronisation
Enabling this will prevent named bookable resources from being synchronised to the owning O365 group.
Altus has a convenience feature that by default will attempt to add resources who are collaborating on a project into the M365 Group associated with that project. This enables those users to access the project for timesheeting and other functions. This feature can be disabled if access to the project and ability to timesheet needs to be managed manually.
Specific Roles that can Unlink Projects
If left empty, all users with access to the project will have access to Unlink the Project.
In some organisations, the setup and administration of projects is done centrally and is a separate function to Project Management. In this case it may be necessary for a different set of users to be granted the exclusive permission to manage the scheduling tool that is used to manage work for a project.
Disable schedule protection
Turning this on removes restrictions on editing project tasks. Use only for troubleshooting or maintenance. Changes may be lost when the schedule syncs.
Altus uses a scheduling engine that is able to quickly save large amounts of scheduling information via Bound Actions - and this is done separately to the representation of this data in the Dataverse task rows, which can happen after a small delay. To ensure direct edits to the Dataverse task records are not lost while the materialisation of this data occurs, users are not allowed to modify task scheduling fields directly. All scheduling related task edits must occur via Altus Tasks on the Project -> Tasks tab. This switch provides a mechanism to disable the protection for maintenance purposes, however this switch should be returned to the default disabled position to ensure data loss scenarios are avoided.
