Transition to new Altus Admin Consent
Altus is updating - and we need your help before December 31st 2026!
- For new customers: performing both the new and the legacy consent is required during the transition period.
- For existing Altus customers: re-consenting to both new and legacy early helps ensure a smooth move to the new Altus Hub and applications that will ensure your ongoing access to Altus.
Required Action
All customers complete the new Altus admin consent to keep your tenant ready for uninterrupted Altus services.
Why this transition matters
Continued access to the Altus Hub and Altus Applications depends on your organisation's updated consent.
All customers will be required to re-consent during the transition period. The transition period allows customers plenty of time in case there are change control procedures that are needed.
At the end of transition period all customers will automatically:
- Use the new Altus Hub for self-service update delivery.
- Use the updated suite of Altus applications.

Benefits of completing consent early
- Enables a smoother move to Altus Hub and connected Altus applications.
- Utilise the new features Altus Hub
- Improved security model that uses your own Power Platform environment security model to control access to self-service actions. This allows multiple administrators per environment.
- Allows installation of additional optional Altus solution packages like AI and Copilot add-ons
- Faster and improved modern usability.
- 🌙Dark mode!🌙
- Aligns your tenant with Altus app publisher verification.
- Reduces last-minute risk as the Sensei Hub switch-off date approaches.

Frequently Asked Questions
What parts of Altus are affected?
Each part of Altus has a dedicated enterprise app, and each one is moving from Sensei to Altus.
Why is this change necessary?
This change allows the transition to a new single admin consent flow for the Altus suite and aligns with Altus app publisher verification.
Can we keep running while we transition?
Yes. During the transition period, legacy and new enterprise apps can co-exist so customers can migrate at their own pace.
Do we need to perform both Altus and Sensei consent?
Yes, during the transition period both admin consents are required as the applications are updated.
What should we verify right after consent?
Confirm that the new enterprise apps appear in Entra ID, and Altus Admin users can sign in to Altus Hub.
Do end users need to do anything?
No direct end-user action is needed. Tenant admins should complete consent and validation.
How long does this activity typically take?
The consent step is usually quick, but you should allow time for internal change planning and validation.
What if we complete consent well before the transition end date?
That is recommended. Early completion gives your team more time to validate and reduces timeline pressure.
Will my application stop working?
Applications that depend on the new Altus enterprise app registration continue to work when consent is completed. If consent is not completed by the end of the transition period, affected apps & services cannot authenticate.
Do I need to transition to Altus Hub?
No manual transition is required. We will automatically migrate all deployments from Sensei Hub to the Altus Hub using the same settings. After migration, instances are removed from Sensei Hub. Please note that deployment history is not migrated.
