    Solutions roadmap

    This document provides an insight into upcoming product changes. It includes some of the major features we are currently working on, and a tentative timeline for when you can expect to see them. While it is not an exhaustive list of all the new features in our solutions, it is designed to give you an overview of our roadmap.

    • Improved Altus deployments and updates
      • We're focusing on a number of improvements to the deployment and updating of Altus, to make the process easier and more reliable.

    • Grid Enhancements
      • We're introducing better functionality for Altus included grids, such as the Finance and Resource grid, to make visualisation and filtering of data easier and more flexible.

    • General Altus User Experience Improvements
      • Implementation of our learnings from the 2022 User Experience research we conducted. Changes will focus on making it faster and more intuitive to use various parts of the application.

    • Resource Module Enhancements
      • Addition of several feature enhancements for the Resource Module, based on user feedback and workshops. Includes integration with the Altus Scheduler and several quality of life improvements.

    • New major feature
      • We are planning a brand new major feature for Altus. More information will be made available closer to the date. Watch this space!

      • Introduced integration with Microsoft Planner, which includes rapid task synchronisation, minimal configuration, and a new dashboard view fo tasks

      • Addition of timesheet management including approval processes, allowing organizations to track time spent for resources on projects and non-project work.

    2020 Q3 Reporting Hub Better index optimisation for TimeByDay queries. The overnight optimisation process will now also include a wider selection of indexes for optimisation.

    2020 Q2 Sensei IQ PFTW MVP Sensei IQ PFTW - New product release, integrating and extending Microsoft Project for the Web. This is the first version, or MVP release for early adopters.
    2020 Q1 Reporting Hub CDS Support - Common Data Service support is coming to the Reporting Hub. This feature is currently in final testing and will be rolled out soon.
    Project Group Integration New feature: Allow groups to be created as Private. This feature has been deployed to all customers.
    Policy Information Security Policy is now available online.
    Integration Hub Integration Hub now has user documentation available.
    2019 Q4 Reporting Hub Read Scale-out support - Enterprise Reporting Hub customers Reporting Hub now benefit from the ability to shift read-only reporting workloads to the read replicas to decrease load on their primary read/write database.
    Security and Trust Security Testing and Policy Review - Our offerings have been both penetration tested and architecturally reviewed. Results have been published in the Security Testing section and we are please to announce that our overall risk rating has decreased. Our Information Security Policy is under review for improvements and will also be published when ready.
    2019 Q3 Empower PPM Empower PPM - Migration approach for existing Jumpstart customers. For customers who have elected to move to Empower 1 before Empower 2 is available, a migration approach will be developed to allow customers to begin utilising Empower PPM solution features with existing project in a new site collection.
    OneTaskList.com Public Beta for our new product which will aggregate your tasks, allow you have a single view of all your tasks, wherever they live or whatever shape they take. We will allow you to work the way you want and then when your work is done, update the other system status automatically.

    Reporting Hub Workflow Status Sync. The Reporting Hub now synchronises workflow status when a Projet workflow is submitted and changes stage. Previously a project publish was required.
    Reporting Hub TLS 1.2 Requirement. The Reporting Hub and associated services will require end-user browsers capable of TLS 1.2 encryption from 26th September 2019.
    The latest version of all modern browsers and IE 11 support TLS 1.2 so no customer action should be necessary.
    Reporting Hub Power BI Embedded - Status bar will be added to the Power BI Embedded Webpart to indicate last refresh time and any potential dataset refresh errors.
    Reporting Hub Power BI Embedded - United States regional support.
    2019 Q2 Project Group Integration New feature: Hybrid Mode will allow customers to use a blend of classic Project Sites and O365 Groups/Teams. New projects can get the O365 Groups/Teams experience while maintaining existing Project Site linkages for existing projects.
    Project Group Integration New feature: Provide official guidance and examples for Group Site templating for the associated O365 Group Sites provisioned with Projects.
    InSite The IPMO InSite product is due to be retired on 1st August 2019. The functionality provided by InSite is now provided by the Reporting Hub and the associated Snapshot Facility. Please contact Sensei Support if you have any concerns that this may affect you.
    Reporting Hub SQL Azure compatibility upgrade. To keep customer experiences consistent we will be upgrading older customer databases from level 130 (SQL 2016) to 140 (SQL 2017). This will provide performance improvements related to adaptive query processing and other additional features.
    2019 Q1 Empower PPM Empower PPM is a packaged solution embodying best-practice Project Online configuration utilising the latest technology in PowerApps, Flow and PowerBI. Empower PPM is now available and rolling out to new customers.
    Reporting Hub Power BI Embedded. Additional facility for rendering Power BI reports within a PWA site collection and PDP pages without the need for acquiring Power BI licensing for individual users. Australian deployment complete.
    Reporting Hub Snapshot Facility. All Reporting Hub deployments will have a snapshot data collection and reporting facility. This facility utilises SQL Azure Temporal Tables. More Info
    Reporting Hub Status Page in PWA Settings. Display an additional link in the PWA settings page that will display current Reporting Hub status information useful in troubleshooting. More Info...
