  2. Click the pencil icon to edit this mapping. This will open the Field Mapping window. Image shows the Configuration screen for selecting a Risk field and an Issue field
  3. Select the Risk Field and the Issue Field you'd like to map.
  4. Click OK

The pencil icon will allow you to edit existing rules. The trash can will allow you to delete existing rules.

Converting a Risk to an Issue

One additional function that the risk register has is the ability for a user to convert a risk to an issue. This occurs when the risk is realised and impacts the project (i.e., the mitigation strategy has not succeeded).

The Convert to Issue button is on the Risk Detail form.

When clicked the Quick Create: Issue screen displays for the user to enter any additional Issue data. Some of the Risk field data automatically fill fields in the created Issue.. This information is managed by a configuration setting. More information can be found [here].

The Status of the Risk changes to Converted to Issue and the Linked Issue table shows at the bottom of the risk, showing the Issue that has been created and a link to be able to open it.

On the Issue, the Linked to Risk field displays the Name and a link to the Risk you create this Issue from displays.

You can convert one Risk into multiple Issues. On subsequent Issue creation the Status of the Risk remains Converted to Issue.
